Why your EAN code can only live in one place

Your EAN code — the unique number of your grid connection — can only be registered with one service provider at a time at the NEa. Your old provider has to release your registration first; then we take it over and registration simply continues.

Things to watch out for

Check your current contract's duration: some providers use multi-year contracts with a notice period or penalty.
Only cancel once your new account is ready, so you don't miss a quarter.
A registration contract legally runs for at least one calendar year — with us too. After that it's cancellable yearly.
