Current Wallbox models have no built-in MID meter and therefore unfortunately don't qualify for ERE registration.

Does a Wallbox charger qualify for ERE registration?
For the widely sold Pulsar Plus and Pulsar Max the answer is unfortunately no: these models have no built-in MID-certified meter. Their internal metering is fine for the app and your own insight, but doesn't count as assured metering for ERE registration with the NEa.
External MID meter: not a route with us
Wallbox sells separate MID meters as accessories. However, we currently only support chargers with a built-in MID meter: that makes the link between the assured metering and the charge point conclusive — exactly what certification is about. More on that requirement in MID meter explained.
What you can do
- Watch the Pulsar Pro. Wallbox positions that newer model with built-in MID-certified metering; we're verifying the specifications and will add it once confirmed.
- When replacing: choose on MID. The overview of chargers with a MID meter shows what qualifies per brand and model.
- Run the numbers. The earnings calculator shows what ERE registration is indicatively worth — for frequent drivers it adds up to hundreds of euros a year, which makes a replacement pay off sooner than you'd think.
Meanwhile your Wallbox keeps working; nothing changes about charging itself.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Wallbox Pulsar Plus have a MID meter?
No. The Pulsar Plus (and the Pulsar Max) has no built-in MID-certified meter. Its internal metering therefore doesn't count for official ERE registration.
Can I connect an external MID meter to my Wallbox?
Wallbox sells external MID meters as accessories, but we currently only support chargers with a built-in MID meter — those give a conclusive, assured link between the metering and the charge point.
Is a Wallbox model coming that does qualify?
