How does this check work?

The check uses the same model catalogue as our registration: per brand and model we track whether it has a built-in MID-certified meter. The answer you see here is the answer that counts once you sign up — not a separate marketing list that can drift from reality.

Why does everything hinge on the MID meter?

The NEa requires charged kWh to be measured in an assured way by a certified meter inside the charge point itself. App values or estimates don't count. If that meter is in there, every home charge session can earn money — indicatively €0.10 to €0.14 net per kWh, depending on the ERE market price.
