Alfen & ERE certificates

Got a Alfen charger? Chances are you can earn from home charging. Connect it to Revvolt and we handle the ERE registration with the NEa.

Models

Compatible = built-in MID-certified meter, required for ERE registration with the NEa.

Does an Alfen charger qualify for ERE registration?

Alfen is the best-known Dutch charger manufacturer, and there's good news for Eve owners: the Eve Single Pro-line and Eve Double Pro-line have a built-in MID-certified meter and qualify for ERE registration. That satisfies the NEa's core requirement: assured metering inside the charge point itself.

If you have a different or older Alfen version, check the type plate for the MID marking or run the charger check.

Double charge points: how does that work?

The Eve Double has two outlets. For ERE registration the metering applies per charge point; if you share the charger with a second car within your household, both simply count on your grid connection. If the charger is on a shared car park (say, at an owners' association), it depends on whose grid connection it uses — the payout follows the EAN code of the connection.

What is it worth?

A charger lasts for years, and over that period the ERE payout adds up seriously. Use the earnings calculator to see what your mileage is indicatively worth, and read How much do you earn charging at home? for the full calculation — including the assumptions and the honest disclaimer that the ERE market price moves.
