Zaptec & ERE certificates

Got a Zaptec charger? Chances are you can earn from home charging. Connect it to Revvolt and we handle the ERE registration with the NEa.

Models

Compatible = built-in MID-certified meter, required for ERE registration with the NEa.

Does a Zaptec charger qualify for ERE registration?

Zaptec is one of the most popular charger brands in the Netherlands, and the answer differs per generation. The Go 2 — available in the Benelux since early 2025 — has a built-in MID-certified meter and qualifies for ERE registration. The same goes for the Pro in its current MID version. The first-generation Go has no MID meter, so it's out.

Not sure which version you have? Check the type plate of the charger for the MID marking, or run the charger check.

Connecting without sharing your password

Zaptec has a clean way to connect your charger to a service like ours: you approve access on a consent screen hosted by Zaptec itself, logged in with your own account. Your password stays with you — we only get read access to your installation and charge history. From then on your sessions flow in automatically and you never submit meter readings.

Sessions from earlier in the calendar year can be booked retroactively too, so as much of the year counts as possible.

Older Go or Pro without MID?

Your charger keeps working — nothing changes about charging. Only ERE registration is out: the metering isn't assured and that can't be fixed afterwards. When replacing, the MID meter has become a genuine purchase criterion; the overview of chargers with a MID meter and the earnings calculator help you work out what it's worth.

Does the original Zaptec Go qualify too?

No. The first-generation Zaptec Go has no MID-certified meter and doesn't qualify for ERE registration. Only the Go 2 and the Pro (MID version) qualify.

Does every Zaptec Pro qualify for ERE registration?

The current Pro version with MID meter does. Older Pros have no MID-certified meter — check the type plate of your charger for the MID marking.

How do I connect my Zaptec?

Through your own Zaptec account: you approve the connection on a consent screen hosted by Zaptec itself, without sharing your password with us. After that we read your charge sessions automatically.
