Does a Peblar charger qualify for ERE registration?

Peblar, the Dutch charger maker, keeps it clear: the Home Plus, the Business and the Dual have a built-in MID-certified meter (class B) and qualify for ERE registration. Only the base Home lacks that meter — and according to Peblar itself it cannot be upgraded afterwards.

The Dual is the newest addition: a commercial dual-socket 22 kW unit with a class B MID meter as standard. If you still come across the name Business Pro in an old price list or on a comparison site — that model doesn't exist. Peblar's own line-up is Home, Home Plus, Business (with or without Shutter) and Dual.

Also sold under other names: BlueBuilt and Connectric

Good to know: Peblar also builds home chargers sold under other brand names, including Coolblue BlueBuilt and Eneco Connectric. If you own one of those, you technically own Peblar hardware — but the data runs through that brand's cloud, not Peblar's. That's why they have their own pages: BlueBuilt and Eneco Connectric. Which exact version you have — and thus whether it has a MID meter — is on the type plate. The charger check helps if you're unsure.

Connecting isn't possible yet

The meter side is fine; the readout side isn't. Peblar publishes developer documentation for a cloud API, but in practice that API is internal-only — the manufacturer confirmed this to us directly in July 2026. So a connection based on your Peblar account is off the table.

That leaves OCPP, the open charger protocol every Peblar supports: in principle your unit can send its sessions with MID meter readings to a platform other than your installer's. But the receiving end needs an OCPP gateway, and we haven't built one. Until we have, we can't collect charging data from a Peblar — not even from a Home Plus, Business or Dual with a perfectly good MID meter.

Peblar states in its own FAQ that EREs cannot be claimed through Peblar but run through an independent registration provider. That's correct — but any such provider still has to get the session data from somewhere, and for Peblar that route doesn't exist yet. What is worth doing meanwhile: check the type plate to confirm which version you have, so you know whether your unit carries the MID meter. And use Notify me at the bottom of this page to tell us you own a Peblar; we'll let you know when readout becomes possible. We're deliberately not naming a date.

Peblar Home without MID?

Your charger keeps doing what it did; ERE registration is simply out, and stays out even once the readout side is solved.
