Compatible = built-in MID-certified meter, required for ERE registration with the NEa. "Check per unit" means it varies by production year or variant — check the type plate or email us.
Does a Charge Amps charger qualify for ERE registration?
Charge Amps is a Swedish brand known in the Netherlands mainly for its clean Scandinavian design — and the range is small enough to be clear about model by model.
The Dawn (22 kW) has a confirmed built-in MID-certified meter and qualifies for ERE registration. The Halo predates that meter and is therefore out; that's not a setting or an update issue, certification belongs to the hardware. Why the requirement is so absolute is covered in MID meter explained.
If you have a Halo it keeps charging exactly as before — nothing changes about using it. Only registration is off the table, and that can't be repaired after the fact. The Aura: verified per unit
The Aura is the dual, semi-public model, and we deliberately list it as check per unit. Retailer specifications mention a MID meter, but we haven't yet been able to confirm that on an actual unit. Until we can, we won't promise anything about it — a wrongly registered kWh is your problem, not just ours.
What you can do yourself:
- Check the type plate on the charger for a MID marking.
- Look up the article number of your version; variants under one model name differ there.
- Keep your purchase documentation — the installer's quote or invoice often states the exact version.

What to expect from the connection
Charge Amps has a publicly documented cloud API, including notifications for new charge sessions. That's a solid basis: the data the NEa wants to see is in there.
To be straight about it, though: our Charge Amps integration is newer and less proven than the ones for large brands like Easee or Zaptec, simply because there are fewer Charge Amps units in the Netherlands. In practice that means we review the first charge sessions manually before they count, and your first overview may take a little longer to fill. Does the Charge Amps Dawn have a MID meter?

How do I find out which Charge Amps model I have?
The model name is on the charger's type plate and in the Charge Amps app under your product. Your purchase invoice also states the exact version.
