Compatible = built-in MID-certified meter, required for ERE registration with the NEa. "Check per unit" means it varies by production year or variant — check the type plate or email us.
The meter may be fine, the data route isn't
EVBox is a different case from most brands: the problem isn't the charger, it's what used to sit behind it. A separate MID version of the Elvi exists with a genuine built-in MID-certified meter, and on the Liviqo that meter is standard. On the metering rules of ERE registration alone, those units would qualify. The standard Elvi and the Livo have no built-in MID meter and are out either way.
Even so, we cannot connect any EVBox today. Manufacturer EVBox switched off its Everon cloud platform on 1 December 2025, and with it went the only place where charge sessions could be read automatically and in an assured way. That is not a gap we can close ourselves: the platform belongs to the manufacturer, not to us. Suitable hardware, no route to it — that's the honest state of affairs.
The platform stopped, your charger didn't
Important to know: charging keeps working. What disappeared is the smart layer around it — the app, the monitoring and the integrations that depended on them. Newer EVBox models from generation 3 and 4 can be repointed to another OCPP management platform by an installer; older generations cannot.
That kind of migration fixes your monitoring, but not your ERE registration: we have no connection to those alternative platforms today. We're keeping an eye on EVBox and on the OCPP platforms, but we'd rather not promise something we can't put a date on.
Why that route weighs so heavily: for the NEa, charge sessions must be traceable to one specific charge point and impossible to alter afterwards. That only works if we collect them directly and automatically at the source. Manually submitted kWh figures or an export from an app are no substitute — we can't make those assured, and that's where it ends.
What you can do now
- Find out which version you have. Check the type plate and your purchase documentation for whether you own an Elvi MID or a Liviqo, and whether a MID marking (class B) is shown. It costs nothing, and it is exactly the fact that matters if a route ever appears.
- Register your interest using the button on this page. You'll hear from us when something changes for EVBox — and only then.
- Replacing anyway? Then pick a model with a built-in MID meter from a manufacturer with a well-maintained data platform. Replacing a perfectly functional EVBox purely for ERE rarely adds up.

Frequently asked questions
Why can't I register ERE certificates with my EVBox?
Not because of the meter: EVBox versions with a genuine MID-certified meter do exist. The blocker is the data route — EVBox switched off its Everon cloud platform on 1 December 2025, so charge sessions can no longer be read automatically and in an assured way.
Does the EVBox Elvi have a MID meter?
That depends on the version. A separate Elvi MID SKU exists with a built-in MID-certified meter; the standard Elvi and the Livo do not have one. On the Liviqo the MID meter is standard.
The EVBox platform shut down — what does that mean for me?

My Elvi's specifications mention a MID meter — can I take part?
Your meter is then probably fine, but that isn't where it fails. Without a working factory platform there is no route to read your sessions in an assured way, so we cannot connect you at the moment. Keep your documentation and register your interest, and we'll let you know if that changes.
