EVBox & ERE certificates

Current EVBox models have no built-in MID meter and therefore unfortunately don't qualify for ERE registration.

Models

Compatible = built-in MID-certified meter, required for ERE registration with the NEa.

Does an EVBox charger qualify for ERE registration?

For the home models Elvi and Livo the answer is currently no β€” and honestly, that's only partly about the charger. Manufacturer EVBox switched off its cloud platform (Everon) at the end of 2025: the app, monitoring and data connections through the factory cloud have stopped. Without that route, charge sessions cannot be read automatically and in an assured way β€” which is exactly what ERE registration requires.

On top of that, the meter version differs per model and production year; only versions with a built-in MID-certified meter would qualify at all. That's why Elvi and Livo are listed as not qualifying in our overview.

The platform stopped β€” your charger didn't

Important to know: charging keeps working. What's gone is the smart layer around it. Newer EVBox models (generation 3 and 4) can be repointed to another OCPP management platform by an installer; older generations cannot.

What you can do

  • If you're considering a new charger, pick a model with a built-in MID meter from a manufacturer with a well-maintained data platform. The overview of qualifying chargers helps you choose.
  • Calculate what you're leaving on the table. The earnings calculator shows indicatively what ERE registration earns β€” a number you can weigh into whether replacement pays off.
  • Run the charger check for any model you're considering.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't my EVBox qualify for ERE registration?

Two reasons: the home models Elvi and Livo are in our overview without a confirmed built-in MID meter, and the EVBox cloud platform (Everon) was switched off by the manufacturer at the end of 2025, leaving no route to read charge sessions automatically and in an assured way.

The EVBox platform shut down β€” what does that mean for me?

The charger itself keeps charging, but the app, monitoring and data connections through the factory cloud no longer work. Newer EVBox models (generation 3/4) can be repointed to another OCPP management platform by an installer.

My Elvi's specifications mention a MID meter β€” can I still join?

Not through us at the moment: without a working data route we cannot read the sessions in an assured way, and the MID status differs per Elvi version. Keep your documentation; if a reliable route emerges, we'll update the overview.
