Connect your Zaptec charger to Revvolt

Connect your Zaptec to Revvolt through a consent screen hosted by Zaptec itself — without sharing your password — and earn automatically from the kWh you charge at home. Here's how, step by step.

Got a Zaptec? You can connect it to Revvolt through your own Zaptec account and earn automatically from the electricity you charge at home. You never share your password with us: you approve access on a screen hosted by Zaptec itself, and you can withdraw that approval whenever you like. Below is what you need, how to connect, and what happens afterwards.

Beta — this connection is new. We manually check your model and your first charge sessions before they count towards your EREs. Nothing for you to do.

What do you need?

  • A compatible Zaptec with a built-in MID meter — the Go 2 qualifies; for the Pro it depends on the individual unit
  • Your own Zaptec account (the one you use for the Zaptec portal or app)
  • A charger that is online and present in your Zaptec installation

How to connect your Zaptec

  1. Choose Zaptec in the Revvolt portal. Go to Connect charger and select Zaptec.
  2. Give consent at Zaptec. You're taken to a consent screen on Zaptec's own domain. Sign in there with your own Zaptec account and approve Revvolt's request.
  3. We receive read access to your installation. Nothing more: we read your charger and your charge sessions. We cannot control your charger or change anything in it.
  4. We check your model and fetch your charge history. Back in the portal you'll see your charger listed. During the beta we confirm the model and its MID status by hand — usually within one working day — and import your charge sessions for this calendar year.

Zaptec is the best-documented connection of all the brands we support, and the cleanest one too: the signing in happens at Zaptec, not at us. We only get what you approve — read access to your installation — and you keep the key. Your Zaptec account shows which access you have granted and lets you withdraw it in a single step.

We are Zaptec Certified: we have completed Zaptec's certification programme, so you're dealing with a partner Zaptec itself knows and recognises.

Which Zaptec models qualify?

ModelMID meter
Zaptec Go 2Eligible
Zaptec ProBeing verified
Zaptec GoNot eligible

The Go 2 has a built-in MID-certified meter and qualifies. The first-generation Go doesn't have that meter. For the Pro we verify each unit: only the "Pro MID" version from 2024 onwards has a MID meter, and that difference isn't visible in the serial number — we need the article number from the type plate or your purchase invoice for that. The full explanation is on Charging with Zaptec; if you're unsure about your own unit, run the charger check.

After that: what happens automatically?

Once your model is confirmed, we fetch new charge sessions automatically every day — you'll never submit a meter reading. Continue by registering your location to become eligible for payouts.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to share my Zaptec password with Revvolt?

No. You approve the connection on a consent screen hosted by Zaptec itself, signed in with your own Zaptec account. Your password stays with Zaptec — we never see it and never store it.

What exactly am I granting access to?

Read access to your Zaptec installation: your charger and your charge sessions. We cannot operate the charger, change any settings or delete anything.

The connection worked, but my charger says 'checking model'. Is that right?

Yes, that's part of the beta. We manually confirm which Zaptec model you have and whether it is MID-certified. For the Pro we check the article number, because the serial number doesn't reveal the MID version. You'll hear from us within one working day.

My charger doesn't appear after I gave consent. What now?

Check that the charger is online and that it sits in the same Zaptec installation you granted access to. Connect with the account that owns the installation if you can: only chargers in that installation are visible to us. Still nothing? Send us a message and we'll finish the connection by hand.

Can I disconnect later?

Yes, in two ways. In the Revvolt portal you can disconnect next to your charger, and in your own Zaptec account you can withdraw our access to your installation at any time. From that moment we stop fetching new charge sessions.
