Connect your EVBox charger to Revvolt via OCPP

EVBox's Everon platform has shut down, but your Elvi or BusinessLine can get a new home. Connect it to Revvolt via OCPP and still earn from the kWh you charge at home.

Do you have an EVBox Elvi or BusinessLine? Since the Everon platform was switched off on 1 December 2025 your charger has been orphaned — but it can get a new home. Via OCPP you'll soon connect it directly to Revvolt: your charger gets a management system again and your kWh start counting for EREs. New to OCPP? Read what OCPP is first.

Coming soon — Revvolt's OCPP connection is under construction. Put your EVBox on the waitlist via the charger check.

What do you need?

  • A compatible EVBox with MID meter, generation 3 or 4 (see the table below)
  • The EVBox Connect app and the security code from your charger's packaging/installation folder
  • Up-to-date firmware (v425 or newer — required for an encrypted connection)
  • Internet via Wi-Fi or cable (an old Everon SIM often no longer works)

How to connect your EVBox

  1. Start the connection in the Revvolt portal. Choose Connect charging station → EVBox. You'll see the Revvolt server address and enter your charger's serial number.
  2. Open the EVBox Connect app and connect to your charger via Bluetooth (security code from the packaging).
  3. Enter installer mode (button at the bottom of the screen, security code again) → Charging Management PlatformDifferent Backend URL.
  4. Paste the Revvolt address, save, and restart the charger. It then announces itself to Revvolt; we recognise it by the serial number you entered in the portal.

Which EVBox models are eligible?

Only variants with a built-in MID meter qualify for EREs. Not sure about your version? Do the charger check.

Good to know

  • On firmware older than v425 the encrypted connection fails due to an expired certificate. Update the firmware first; after connecting, updates can run through the new management system.
  • Generation 1/2 (and the Livo without MID) sadly can't migrate or don't qualify — a new charger is then the only route.

Then: what happens automatically?

Every charging session reaches us straight from the meter in your charger. Continue with registering your location to qualify for payouts.

Frequently asked questions

EVBox shut down — does my charger still work?

Charging still works, but the Everon platform (app, remote management) was switched off on 1 December 2025. That's exactly why reconnecting via OCPP is attractive: your charger gets a new management system and your sessions start counting for EREs.

Do I lose anything by connecting my EVBox to Revvolt?

No — EVBox's cloud services already stopped, so there's nothing left to lose. You gain something instead: your charge sessions and ERE registration in the Revvolt portal.

Which EVBox models can do this?

The newer generations (Elvi and BusinessLine generation 3/4) can be switched via the EVBox Connect app. Older generations sadly can't migrate. EREs additionally require a MID-meter variant — such as the Elvi MID.

My EVBox used a 4G SIM. Does it still work?

The data contract often ran through Everon and may have ended with it. Use Wi-Fi or a wired connection instead — the most reliable route for the Revvolt connection anyway.
