The mandate — what exactly do you sign?

What the mandate covers, how long it is valid and how renewal works.

Without a mandate we are not allowed to register anything for you. It is the legal document in which you authorize us to register and sell your ERE's with the NEa.

What does it contain?

  • Your details: name, address and the EAN code of your connection — check them carefully before signing.
  • Exclusivity: you declare that you have not authorized another registration service provider for this calendar year. That is a legal requirement — one connection can only be handled by one provider at a time.
  • Consent for the NEa to access your connection's data in the Central Connection Register (CAR).
  • Access for the verifier: an independent verifier may check on site that your installation meets the conditions.

How do you sign?

Digitally, in the portal: you read the declarations, tick them and type your full name as an electronic signature. Date, time and IP address are recorded. You receive the signed document immediately as a PDF — always available with your location.

How long is it valid?

One calendar year (1 January through 31 December). The mandate is never renewed automatically — towards the end of the year we remind you to sign again, so you don't miss out on ERE's.
