Connect your Webasto (Ampure) charger to Revvolt via OCPP
Connect your Webasto Unite or Next to Revvolt via OCPP through the charger's local web interface. How to set it up, step by step.
The Webasto Unite and Next (nowadays under the Ampure name) are factory-built for OCPP — you'll soon configure the Revvolt connection yourself through the charger's web interface. New to OCPP? Read what OCPP is first.

What do you need?
- A compatible Webasto with built-in MID meter (see the table below)
- The administrator password from your charger's installation manual
- A charger that is online (LAN or Wi-Fi)
How to connect your Webasto Unite
- Start the connection in the Revvolt portal. Choose Connect charging station → Webasto. You'll see the server address, an identity and a secret key.
- Open the web interface. Reach the charger via its IP address on your home network or via the charger's configuration hotspot. Sign in as admin with the manual's password.
- Fill in the Backend menu. Choose OCPP-J 1.6, paste the Revvolt address into Backend URL, and enter the secret key as the HTTP Basic Authentication Password. Leave SSL on "Encrypt only".
- Save and restart. The charger announces itself to Revvolt; we recognise the model and serial number.
How to connect your Webasto Next
- Connect to the charger's hotspot (name starts with
NEXT-; the Wi-Fi key is in the manual) and go to172.20.0.1. - Sign in as admin with the master password from the manual.
- Enter the Connection URL you received from Revvolt in the backend settings, save, and restart the system.
- Not charging afterwards? Older firmware has a known issue with third-party backoffices — Webasto support fixes it with an update.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect my Webasto myself?
Yes, if you can operate a browser. The setting lives in the charger's local web interface; the administrator password is in the installation manual (or on the configuration label).
Does WebastoChargeConnect keep working?
No. A Webasto connects to one backoffice at a time — while your charger is connected to Revvolt, the WebastoChargeConnect cloud services are inactive. Charging itself and local settings keep working.
My Webasto Next stopped charging after switching. What now?
Older Next firmware has a known issue with third-party backoffices. Webasto support can push a firmware update that fixes it — ask them first, or contact us.
Which Webasto models qualify?
Only models with a built-in MID meter, such as the Unite in its MID version and the Live. The Pure II and standard Next have no MID meter and therefore only provide charging insights.
