Connect your Blue Current charger to Revvolt
Connect your Blue Current charger to Revvolt with an API token from your own account on my.bluecurrent.nl — without sharing your password. Here's how to create the token and connect, step by step.
Do you have a Blue Current charger? Connecting to Revvolt works with an API token you create yourself in your Blue Current account — free, in a few minutes, and without sharing your password. Here's exactly how to create the token and connect.
Beta — this connection is new. We manually review your model and your first charge sessions before they count towards your EREs. No action needed on your side.
What do you need?
- A compatible Blue Current with built-in MID meter (see the model table below)
- Your Blue Current account on my.bluecurrent.nl
- A computer — creating the API token only works via the website, not in the mobile app
How to connect your Blue Current
- Choose Blue Current in the portal. Start the connection in the Revvolt portal (Connect charging station → Blue Current). These steps are shown there too.
- Create your API token on my.bluecurrent.nl. Sign in to my.bluecurrent.nl on a computer (this isn't possible in the mobile app). Click your account name → Settings and enable advanced options (developer mode). Then click your account name again → Advanced and generate your API token.
- Paste the token into the portal. Copy the token and paste it into the connection screen. We never need your password; the token is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM, with the key kept strictly separate from the database).
- We detect your charger and import your history. We automatically read the model, check its MID status against our catalogue and retrieve your charging history for this calendar year — so sessions from before you connected count too.
Please note: Blue Current issues one API token per account, and generating a new token immediately invalidates the old one. Already using the token for Home Assistant, for example? Paste that same token into the portal — don't generate a new one, or your Home Assistant connection will stop working.
Which Blue Current models are eligible?
| Model | MID meter |

The full per-model eligibility story is on the Blue Current brand page. Not sure about your model? Do the charger check — you'll have an answer within a minute.
Then: what happens automatically?
We retrieve new charge sessions automatically — nothing more to do. Continue with registering your location to qualify for payouts.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to share my Blue Current password?
No, never. You create an API token in your own account on my.bluecurrent.nl and paste it into the portal. Your password stays with Blue Current; we store the token encrypted with AES-256-GCM, with the key kept strictly separate from the database, and delete it the moment you disconnect.
I already use the API token for Home Assistant. Can I still connect?
Yes, with the same token. Blue Current issues one API token per account, and generating a new one immediately invalidates the old. So paste the token you already use for Home Assistant into our portal too — don't generate a new one, and both connections keep working. If you do create a new token later, our connection stops; simply reconnect with the new token.
Why can't I create an API token in the Blue Current app?
Creating the token only works on my.bluecurrent.nl on a computer; the mobile app doesn't have this option. Sign in via the browser, click your account name, enable advanced options (developer mode) under Settings, and generate the token under Advanced.
My charger doesn't appear after connecting. What now?
First check that you pasted the complete token, without leading or trailing spaces, and that the charger belongs to the same Blue Current account you created the token in. Still no luck? Contact us and we'll take a look together.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes. You can disconnect in the portal at any time; we then also delete your stored API token. You can also revoke our access yourself by generating a new token on my.bluecurrent.nl — the old one expires immediately. Note: that also breaks any other connection using the same token, such as Home Assistant.
